Combining microscopy with IR spectrometry enables to benefit from both
microscopic observation and chemical identification of a sample.
The interest of this combination
is important in many fields: polymer analysis (inclusion analysis…),
analysis of pharmaceutical tablets, of films, of cutting up biological samples
(tissues, tumors), of fingerprints, of fire residues, etc
PerkinElmer has developed a range of microscopes dedicated to the IR coupling,
which enables to combine the modern video techniques (CCD camera, continuous
zoom) with last generation FTIR.
In manual or motorised version, with the possibility to evolve toward the
screening, the IR microscope brings you informations which were unreachable
untill now!
